There are five cultural houses at MIT, each of which has its own cultural connections and set of commitments. Cultural house members live in New House, where each cultural house has its own section of rooms, lounges, and kitchen.

Since cultural houses are in a unique situation, the process for joining a cultural house this fall will be different than the process for joining other living communities.

If you’re interested in joining a cultural house this fall, make sure to come to an info session for the house(s) you’re interested in! See each cultural house’s page for more information, or contact the email addresses below. You can also fill out this form and we’ll contact you!

After attending info sessions, cultural houses will notify selected first-years about becoming a part of their cultural houses by noon of August 28th. By noon on August 29th, you will have to respond with your answer of whether or not to be a part of these communities!
